The United Asian Club (UAC) will host the group’s first-ever pool parties.
As an extra incentive for club participants, UAC leader Jordan Xiong opened the school swimming pool for UAC members on March 4. Xiong will host another UAC pool party at East on April 22.
For those unaware, United Asian Club is a club that aims to celebrate Asian culture through social and recreational activities. Xiong said he hopes that if students join, they can build new skills as well as acknowledge and celebrate all of Asian Culture. The club is open to everyone – students do not need to be Asian to join. For more information about how to join, contact Jordan Xiong at [email protected]
“We as MSCR have never utilized the school pool for any clubs and we had thought ‘Why not try and see if we can get a permit to use the school pool?’ We thought it would be a good incentive for members who already attend United Asian Club to keep coming, and we wanted to reward them for allowing United Asian Club to be a club, because without them there wouldn’t be a United Asian Club,” Xiong said. “We also asked our club members what ideas and activities they would like to see and, so with that in mind, this is something that some club members had requested that we were able to make come true.”
