Dress-up days for Spirit Week are out and the fun begins Monday with Pajama Day.
The student body ended up voting what the themes of the week were going to be. Monday is Pajama Day, Tuesday is Anything But A Backpack Day, Wednesday is Twin Day, Thursday is Adam Sandler Day, and Friday is School Pride. Also on Friday, October 3rd, is the Homecoming pep rally, followed by the football game at 7-9 p.m. at Lussier Stadium against Middleton High School.
“We’re just hoping people participate in the dress up days and come to the pep rally,” Congress sponsor Sarah Motl said. “I think it brings people together in a fun way that gets the school year going.”
The Homecoming dance, which takes place on Oct. 4 from 8-10:30 p.m. in the Spectator Gym, will be glow-in-the-dark themed. Congress helped, not only with coming up with the spirit week dress-up days, but with the dance’s theme as well.
“Our process for planning our spirit week is (breaking) out into groups by grade level, mostly, and had the different grades do different parts like homecoming celebration. Some people were talking about the theme of the dance, some people were brainstorming ideas for the pep rally, and other people were brainstorming spirit days,” senior Nia Lashley said. “It’s nice knowing I have a hand in fun things the school gets to do.”
