Senior Reece Walters and junior Ike Lavitschke are East’s finalists in Summit Credit Union’s Project Teen Money contest. The student with the most votes will win a $2,500 college scholarship from Summit. Anyone can vote – once per email address.

Summit Credit Union’s annual “Project Teen Money” contest is live! In November, Summit chose two finalists from each of the four MMSD high schools out of many applicants. East’s finalists are senior Reece Walters and junior Ike Lavitschke.

There will be three rounds of voting – one for each of the contestant’s three videos. Voting is:

  • now through Sunday, Feb. 16 for Round 1: Save
  • Monday, Feb. 17- Sunday, March 1 for Round 2: Spend
  • Monday, March 2- Sunday, March 15 for Round 3: Give

The contestant with the most votes will win a $2,500 scholarship and bragging rights for their school. East has only been a part of this contest for a few years, and we have never had a winner from the school.

To vote, go to https://www.summitcreditunion.com/project-teen-money/vote – you can check out the finalists videos on web or mobile. Vote for your favorite, then share the link with others.
